Debbie Anglin founded Anglin Public Relations in 1999 with a desire to provide “Pure PR.” Her vision in creating a firm focused on public relations was to offer organizations with interests in Oklahoma with the caliber of pr services usually only found in larger cities. The firm specializes in providing comprehensive public relations for business, government and non-profit interests. Anglin Public Relations encourages and helps clients integrate research, planning, implementation and evaluation in every communication program and offers creative, cost-effective mediums to communicate with target audiences in ways that build meaningful relationships.
Debbie has served in a variety of public relations capacities in corporate, non-profit and agency settings.
Prior to establishing Anglin Public Relations, she served as an account executive at an advertising agency where she planned and executed statewide public relations, advertising and community-relations campaigns.
In 1995 while at the American Red Cross, Debbie saw first hand the tragedy of the Oklahoma City Bombing and she reported the Red Cross response efforts to local, national and international media. Those media-relations experiences and knowledge translated into more than 300 national speaking and training engagements in the two years following.
At Sports & Recreation, Debbie planned, budgeted and executed grassroots public relations initiatives to build the reputation of the sporting goods chain, increase the client base and enhance the retailer’s relationship with sports enthusiasts and athletes.
She earned her BA in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma in 1993 and earned her APR designation in 2001 by passing the national public relations accreditation test through Public Relations Society of America.
Her commitments extend beyond her office. Debbie served in several roles on the Board of Directors for the Association for Women in Communications including President in 2001-02. She is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City Class XXIII and a member of Rotary Chapter 29, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Stakeholder committee for Central Oklahoma Turning Point, the Steering Committee to open the Oklahoma History Museum and the Junior League of Oklahoma City.
Debbie received the 40 Under 40 award from OKC Business in 2003 and the Journal Record’s Achievers Under 40 in 2004. She has received several local, regional and national awards for her marketing/communication planning and implementation including PRSA Upper Case Awards, IABC Black Gold Awards, AWC Clarion Award, a National Apex Writing Award and a National Apex Logo Award. She was honored by her peers with the 2009 PRSA lifetime acheivement award.

John has 25-plus years of public relations and marketing communications experience across a broad array of public, private and not-for-profit entities. He earned his BS in Journalism from Oklahoma Sate University in 1979, and is working towards a Master’s in Liberal Studies at the University of Oklahoma.
As a Senior Account Executive for Anglin Public Relations, John plays a proactive role in helping clients develop marketing and public relations strategy, as well as day-to-day activity that includes conducting in-depth research and analysis for new business development and client communications plans; and providing creative input for brainstorms related to client projects and new business opportunities; writing and editing; preparing media briefing documents, executive summaries and wrap-up reports; developing editor relationships and pitching targeted news media on a regular basis; coordinating media events; managing and directing third party vendors.
Prior to joining Anglin Public Relations, John was the Division Director for Marketing and Communications at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, the Governor’s lead state agency for economic development. While there, his focus was initiating and managing Commerce’s marketing communications activities across six operating divisions, as well as coordinating integrated communications efforts with communities, businesses and other public and private partners and stakeholders.
John also offers extensive marketing communications agency experience and was a principal of Austin, Texas-based FELLERS Marketing Consultants. John helped launch the firm’s Oklahoma division, and served as its Senior Vice-President and Creative Director for 12 years. FELLERS represented national clients in the healthcare, manufacturing, construction, food service, energy, and financial industries.
Other relevant experience includes his role as Senior Editor for Equipment Today, a national trade publication for the construction equipment industry produced by Cygnus Publishing, and the writing and production of corporate marketing publications, annual reports and other print collateral. He has won numerous Addy and BMA awards.
John is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and the Business Marketing Association (BMA), where he earned his Certified Business Communicator accreditation. He’s a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma (Class XVI), and continues to serve on a number of local boards and committees.

During her career at Anglin Public Relations, Kinsey has strived to gain extensive public relations experience working for both nonprofit and corporate clients.
Kinsey serves as an account executive for Anglin Public Relations and has a range of account responsibilities including research, planning, implementation and evaluation of client projects. She specializes in media relations on accounts such as Infant Crisis Services, the Oklahoma City Home & Garden Show, the Homeless Alliance and the Oklahoma Governor’s Conference on Biofuels. Kinsey organizes the production of communication tools including the annual Impact Report for the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology and has conducted market research for clients such as Oklahoma A+ Schools, F&M Bank and The Triangle.
Through communication planning and implementation, Kinsey has worked to help clients reach and exceed their business goals on projects including the first annual Oklahoma Biofuels Conference which exceeded attendance goals by 30 percent, the Oklahoma City Home & Garden Show which increased attendance by 20 percent in 2009 and her media relations work for nonprofit clients has resulted in numerous donations including a $25,000 anonymous donation to a homeless shelter.
Kinsey was the recipient of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Outstanding Young Professional of the Year Award in 2008. Her projects have earned numerous industry awards including the PRSA Best of Show Award for the OCAST Impact Report, several ADDY awards from the Ad Club, writing awards from PRSA and writing awards from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Kinsey is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City LOYAL Class II. She serves as board member at large for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She is the past chair of the PRSA’s New Young Professional Committee where she worked to double attendance at monthly meetings. Kinsey serves on the board of directors for both the YWCA and the Christmas Connection as well as on numerous other nonprofit committees.
She earned her BA in corporate communications and a minor in journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma. She was in the top one percent of her class and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Karen started working as the firm's office manager in May 2006. She implemented a new time and project management program. She manages day-to-day operations, which include accounts payable and receivable, manages vendor contracts and coordinates client reporting and tracking functions. She is currently developing a new system of relaying information about new clients more effectively between the staff. She also provides support of communications, events, research, proposals, publications, media relations, final reports, and other public relations activities.
Prior to joining Anglin Public Relations, Karen served as the Office Manager for an Oklahoma City advertising agency. She processed claims and acted as traffic manager and assisted with all special events and projects. Prior to the ad agency Karen studied Paralegal Science and worked as a legal assistant in a law office.

As an account specialist at Anglin Public Relations, Jennifer participates in the research, planning, implementation and evaluation of client programs. She supports and coordinates efforts to develop programs and implement production of communications tools to meet client goals.
Jennifer received a BA in journalism and broadcasting with an emphasis in public relations, as well as a minor in marketing from Oklahoma State University.
She is a member of the Oklahoma City Chapter of Public Relations Society of America and is the secretary for the Ronald McDonald House of Oklahoma City Young Professionals. Jennifer is the starting line coordinator for the Oklahoma City Race for the Cure and participates on the Remember the Ten Run steering committee.

Crystal Sowah serves as an account specialist for Anglin Public Relations. She provides support on client accounts through participation in the planning and creative processes, the production of communication tools as well as coordinating, attending and assisting with client promotions and events. Crystal graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2008 with a BA in Journalism with a Broadcasting and Electronic Media emphasis and a BA in African and African American Studies. Crystal is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and volunteers her time at a Hospice Agency in Oklahoma City.
